Since 2011, we’ve been making exceptionally comfortable outdoor apparel—pushing forward with bamboo and other natural materials to create incredibly soft sunwear. As anglers, surfers, and adventure seekers, time on the water is what inspires us. That’s why every piece we make is designed to support those pursuits.

Our Roots
Free Fly Started Out on the Water
We were raised guiding through Big Sky Country, throwing flies on the Missouri River and rowing guests toward trophy trout. As much as we loved time on the water, the bulky, uncomfortable guide gear always slowed us down. That sparked the idea behind Free Fly. After years spent looking for better performance fabrics, we found bamboo—a regenerative fiber packed with natural performance benefits. We brought that discovery to Charleston, put down roots, and have been making incredibly comfortable apparel ever since. We’re grateful to call the Lowcountry home—flood tides, barrier islands, and everything in between. The coastal wild is our playground, where we sneak in waves before work and slip out early to pole the flats. We live for days fully spent, stories worth retelling, salt on our skin, cold drinks nearby, and our favorite people around us. Our gear is made for those moments. For untamed comfort when it counts most.
